Cooking time

  • Pizza dough
  • 1 1/2 cup self raising flour

  • 1/2 cup tepid water

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Pinch of salt

  • Topping
  • 1x 140 gr tomato paste

  • Grated cheese (parmesan or mozarella)

  • Hand full fresh oregano

  • Hand full fresh rosemary

  • 100 g chestnut mushroom

  • 1/2 shallot

  • (optional) vegan cheese

  • Salt & pepper

  • Preheat the oven 220 degrees.
  • Start with making the dough. Sieve the flour/s and salt on to a clean work surface and make a well in the middle. In the well you will put the tepid water and olive oil.
  • Using a fork, bring the flour in gradually from the sides and swirl it into the liquid. Keep mixing, drawing larger amounts of flour in, and when it all starts to come together, work the rest of the flour in with your clean, flour-dusted hands. Knead until you have a smooth, springy dough.
  • Now simply roll the dough out into rough circles, about 0.5cm thick, and place them on a baking tray covered with baking paper.
  • Now it’s time to have some fun! Take a spoon and use the back of the spoon to smoothly spread the tomato paste on the pizza covering the whole base.
  • Then take the grated cheese and sprinkle over the pizza base.
  • Finely slice the mushrooms, onion, fresh oregano and rosemary and sprinkle over the pizza base.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the pizza bases are cooked and the cheese is bubbling and melted.

  • It’s a good idea to roll the pizzas out about 15 to 20 minutes before you want to cook them, so they will stay nice and fresh
  • For all vegans, skip the cheese or use vegan cheese as a replacer
